I grew up in the Finger Lakes area of upstate New York. As a young girl I was always
drawing or painting something. One day I came across a wooden box filled with oil paints.
How I never found those gems before that day remains a mystery. The paints were old
and used, but all those fabulous colors looked wonderful. My father said the paints
belonged to my grandmother and he gave them to me. With the addition of a few more
tubes of color, that was the beginning of my career as an artist. At age 16 I was offered
my first commission and I've been painting ever since.

In 2010 I was selected as the official "Riverfest" artist in
Wilmington, NC. I received my 15 minutes of fame with an
interview on one of Wilmington's local television stations,
WWAYTV3.
The Riverfest painting featured the research vessel, Dan
Moore, and the painting was donated to Cape Fear
Community College. When you look closely, you'll find me
and my pets hidden within this commemorative poster.
Also, several of my paintings have been selected to appear
in three movies coming to TV and theaters. They are 'Hick"
"Home and Away" and "Arthur Newman, Golf Pro."
To me creating art is a way to express my feelings about the beauty in the world around us. Included in my
subjects you'll find portraits of people, animals, homes, seascapes and landscapes and my artwork resides in
residential and corporate locations in the US. The effect of light in a painting is something I find fascinating and
continue to pursue. I especially enjoy painting scenes from nature and creating memories for people. This gives
me great satisfaction, but seeing a client happy with their work of art is even more gratifying.
A painting brings the subject to life. Let me portray your special person, pet, place or home in a one-of-a-kind
original painting as a keepsake to cherish forever. Please contact me with any questions at 910-792-1451 or

I painted every chance I could and studied art throughout the years. Later in life, after the children were older, I
decided to return to school and take courses in graphic design. This was a way to earn a living, do something I
enjoy and remain in the art field. This led to a career in the arts and some wonderful experiences as an illustrator
and graphic designer working for corporations including Xerox, IBM, General Electric and as Art Director for a
children's museum in North Carolina. However, my passion remains with painting.
